YouthShape.US Advances

We continue to make rapid progress on YouthShape.US, the first large-scale, publicly accessible anthropometric survey of U.S. children since the 1970s. The freely available scalar data browser now hosts data from over 3500 children measured at multiple sites. The website provides summary statistics by sex and age, enables bivariate analyses, and gives rapid conversion between values and percentiles for any of the measures. In the next few months we will roll out demo access to our 3D tools based on HumanShape data. We've recently enhanced our standing child model so that we're covering ages 3 to 17 years with data from over 2300 children and youth. This is the most advanced and accurate child body shape model available and we're continuing to innovate, adding new analysis features. Most importantly, we're rolling out a synthesized dataset that uses advanced statistical techniques to generalize from our study population to the entire U.S. population.
